He'll be back in a week or so to paint the outside window frame and spray all the moss on my roof...more ladder work. made from previously worn items, <i>or</i> have another connection to
clothes, shoes and fashion accessories.</p><p>I bought a Liberty of London fabric at a garage sale years ago. It was about 2 yards long and 36 inches wide. It has a funny feel to it - I think it is a very old rayon. I washed it after I bought it. I've been wanting to make a top out of it ever since. When the timer went off I removed the rice bag and shut the door, the microwave started "running" again after I remove the bag even though the timer wasn't going and I hit the Stop button several times. I thought maybe it was the vent (microwave is over the stove and acts as a microwave / vent / stove light combination. I stuck a Corning Corelle bowl with water in the microwave to see if it was running or the vent...I thought it was the vent so I left the door open so it could cool off and turn off...which it seemed to do. So I shut the microwave door and went to bed.</p><p>This morning while I was drinking my coffee and reading my email I heard a loud noise for about 10 minutes...I thought at first it was my heating system making a really bad noise, then I thought Mike was running a power tool. The noise stopped. Mike came into the living room and noise started up again. When I opened the microwave door I found this:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidYweAR0UUM1aYD6mc5vVqhWBVVN1f5DdlLI5kHiAd1iwMm7Tgum6xN4JhAW36PLKPWMEi8oy4D1ssquWD-WTqPs5lqPj2hIOTpSw1P1_VdGsG3o99Zr1X9vrFLLWdiQgpt8ijHAq-1jJqLkKRLBGT-yYS8dxJFqcST4oKKPbp9fomcmCpcAutafDQVA/s4032/IMG_8155.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidYweAR0UUM1aYD6mc5vVqhWBVVN1f5DdlLI5kHiAd1iwMm7Tgum6xN4JhAW36PLKPWMEi8oy4D1ssquWD-WTqPs5lqPj2hIOTpSw1P1_VdGsG3o99Zr1X9vrFLLWdiQgpt8ijHAq-1jJqLkKRLBGT-yYS8dxJFqcST4oKKPbp9fomcmCpcAutafDQVA/s320/IMG_8155.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div><br /></div>And this:<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGF8xojOymxTHaQN5hGFulFh2f3D8dCDq4PpgOl3TQmwhsGCwYH7a7mxFNMrwQPHY-7BBgvEf3zSqunDzsmjEglK_KDJdT-0K8sQ2ZLL1E1yMxP2JkDCEbVFjGkoTR03nkUQDyYhgMS7b9h_58d8JqQ96MF0LYizBxze3_MrA1zbTt_dyaD386oYqJcw/s4032/IMG_8156.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGF8xojOymxTHaQN5hGFulFh2f3D8dCDq4PpgOl3TQmwhsGCwYH7a7mxFNMrwQPHY-7BBgvEf3zSqunDzsmjEglK_KDJdT-0K8sQ2ZLL1E1yMxP2JkDCEbVFjGkoTR03nkUQDyYhgMS7b9h_58d8JqQ96MF0LYizBxze3_MrA1zbTt_dyaD386oYqJcw/s320/IMG_8156.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div><br /></div>The Corelle bowl was melted. So last Sunday when the challenge of Hourglass was announced I thought about some of the triangle scraps I have...could I turn some of them into something?</p><p>Yes, I could.</p><p>Very very small hourglass blocks. They finish at about 3/4 of an inch. After making 12 (didn't use them all) and unknotting my fingers I decided I'd made enough.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhF3ZaB4wYvpqkK7jR5TkfJsIzJJq8TrqUnAGEh4QS2jxfbhNyQX9T0iHNGYYxRh4r6ReVkD6fv7UPww1MuBtU78yl5U0z3wVRSsl8e18_xJfqzqEfUJ7aHhRS9EPn3YC_NnWpr1CYbN-MQ2qYFokapyh5ZoTEPSs8z5XWbS7t7HkQ4F0nXVyywhcX9FQ/s3373/IMG_8113.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3373" data-original-width="2980" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhF3ZaB4wYvpqkK7jR5TkfJsIzJJq8TrqUnAGEh4QS2jxfbhNyQX9T0iHNGYYxRh4r6ReVkD6fv7UPww1MuBtU78yl5U0z3wVRSsl8e18_xJfqzqEfUJ7aHhRS9EPn3YC_NnWpr1CYbN-MQ2qYFokapyh5ZoTEPSs8z5XWbS7t7HkQ4F0nXVyywhcX9FQ/s320/IMG_8113.JPG" width="283" /></a></div><div><br /></div>A couple of borders and a very poorly sewn single fold binding and ...<div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh69vYWnGmNVrRYKFc6jl8EHXKrWTskse8HzgmU5RmfQP9vD1c54SPm6DOpYDekSOqpCJeoTyslPd3XefHiOaVGqG0xewnPjzQwJreR7bbqin3F0uBdUCCaUCvxhiFYnv56dq7zqe-FWaRMDndP53U8iT8Us47Xpsrrq7HBw6O8SuYlAsF5e6wqS046xA/s3079/IMG_8114.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3079" data-original-width="2964" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh69vYWnGmNVrRYKFc6jl8EHXKrWTskse8HzgmU5RmfQP9vD1c54SPm6DOpYDekSOqpCJeoTyslPd3XefHiOaVGqG0xewnPjzQwJreR7bbqin3F0uBdUCCaUCvxhiFYnv56dq7zqe-FWaRMDndP53U8iT8Us47Xpsrrq7HBw6O8SuYlAsF5e6wqS046xA/s320/IMG_8114.JPG" width="308" /></a></div><div><br /></div>Voila! </div><div><br /></div><div>OMG!!!! The master bath, walk-in closet and master bedroom have been painted. I was kinda worried at first because it was really neon glow white! Luckily it warmed up a bit as it dried. I really like the color. Two of the shower walls have tile. There is still a lot to do but it's nice to see actual progress. I need to start looking for or deciding on fixtures and such. I think I've decided on the vanity mirrors - a simple beveled edge rectangle. Now I have to decide on a toilet...OMG, you wouldn't believe how many different types there are and the price differences. Do I really need a toilet that can flush a hole bucket of golf balls without clogging? (hehehehe)</p><p>Finished the quilting and binding on the Thomas the Train panel. I donated it last Friday. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0PyHCZwcrVFWbXOfcnHoY3Rdw29yrq0oiiXShXhKyI5mlIvLu0FWYk8HGtF8f5479-wjnOogF2P6Fe8GQGRytrevVxF0FAiJiJe8NSlq91ESe-2GYcWgRorRvltbxT4NOESwQW8fgu0uQuONbX71Zxw3BPumiT9kIQwHMSzE089z0XP98zxkhstwuxw/s4032/IMG_E8080.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0PyHCZwcrVFWbXOfcnHoY3Rdw29yrq0oiiXShXhKyI5mlIvLu0FWYk8HGtF8f5479-wjnOogF2P6Fe8GQGRytrevVxF0FAiJiJe8NSlq91ESe-2GYcWgRorRvltbxT4NOESwQW8fgu0uQuONbX71Zxw3BPumiT9kIQwHMSzE089z0XP98zxkhstwuxw/s320/IMG_E8080.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The back is pieced, and I had enough of the train fabric to use for the binding. I did finish clue 5 of my Grid Girls mystery.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgX8oWIwLsc4yFMK82IOxmNuiN8v2BPJWa2J6w3hlcKno2BE6fs14Qk4frAp45QxTtznsAUsN2v7_H6DjbSnkVfmu4TN7gUmnw75iJRa3ICp_LOmd_-GcjM6Jt-pBjx8r306YZcPSVKHS1oFdXrm1KJ5d2Kx77TwcbqDv6XkBnhUnt2AjeBQZkFGCZ3gQ/s4032/IMG_8063.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgX8oWIwLsc4yFMK82IOxmNuiN8v2BPJWa2J6w3hlcKno2BE6fs14Qk4frAp45QxTtznsAUsN2v7_H6DjbSnkVfmu4TN7gUmnw75iJRa3ICp_LOmd_-GcjM6Jt-pBjx8r306YZcPSVKHS1oFdXrm1KJ5d2Kx77TwcbqDv6XkBnhUnt2AjeBQZkFGCZ3gQ/s320/IMG_8063.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div><br /></div>Well, part of the mystery is solved...one of the blocks is an X-block. I have no idea how the next block will be pieced. Clue 6 was just released but I haven't looked at it yet.<div><br /></div><div>I got the Thomas the Train panel loaded a couple of days ago and didn't do anything until about an hour ago. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEeTleqpGv5kAyg1M4jy7yMX-TU-N6QDa3kdGX8ejvNYJe_b60BxgSMCUgY91rjT68_TXiGzGcm3QICAVKoBJjl16qI4MZ33KnUW5kYWXjuxgLU6t6ynu2qt9LEKfgdQefreOkQ5EI7tcc8nZTW-1N9J2Fxj56T49xCsKWb2PKdEk4LI1oVgFnUbkgxw/s4032/IMG_8071.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEeTleqpGv5kAyg1M4jy7yMX-TU-N6QDa3kdGX8ejvNYJe_b60BxgSMCUgY91rjT68_TXiGzGcm3QICAVKoBJjl16qI4MZ33KnUW5kYWXjuxgLU6t6ynu2qt9LEKfgdQefreOkQ5EI7tcc8nZTW-1N9J2Fxj56T49xCsKWb2PKdEk4LI1oVgFnUbkgxw/s320/IMG_8071.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div><br /></div>Definitely not my favorite. The fabric is not the best quality, at almost each stitch I can little thread pulls. I'm pretty sure it is the fabric and not something wrong with the tension or machine. I want to finish it by Friday's Quilts for Kids meeting.</div><div><br /></div><div>Progress has been made on the bathroom remodel. </div><div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-UWNOZhnmBAHCUEVgfzVbuDH3G9AVAsP6gtljpnC_WuiUL37aFGsdWoD4idI7eB6UXbGGE4QPmpwTRh9m-WmWNJaM-NVNk3xeu_mL44ifNUjevYDh0UKMpaV95dOMqHtD-O6EGosM7MSbHwe4oIbt12STd76dIIyDXpyalVnQkClQYde36FvXOW0iSA/s4032/IMG_8060.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-UWNOZhnmBAHCUEVgfzVbuDH3G9AVAsP6gtljpnC_WuiUL37aFGsdWoD4idI7eB6UXbGGE4QPmpwTRh9m-WmWNJaM-NVNk3xeu_mL44ifNUjevYDh0UKMpaV95dOMqHtD-O6EGosM7MSbHwe4oIbt12STd76dIIyDXpyalVnQkClQYde36FvXOW0iSA/s320/IMG_8060.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div><br /></div>Lots of demolition and prep work but we (meaning Mike) are starting to make major progress. We had to re-think the tile wall layout as the tiles are large and one of the walls is narrow - we would have ended it with slivers of tile - not a good thing. A new layout was agreed on and Mike will be installing it this week. Paint has been picked out and it didn't take me a week or more to decide, major progress there. ;o)<br /><br /><p><br /></p></div>Joyful Quilterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00747157788497330280noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-810064275321434705.post-43659570714206679042024-02-08T16:13:00.000-08:002024-02-08T16:13:15.965-08:00Inside Only<p>The Project Quilting Challenge 15.3 is Inside Out. I couldn't find a good before picture, but this is what it currently looks like.</p><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhBfwlAnA9g8kqXw3b9orXa8AmaBRBfO45OqGmcYBU8qBNJNTjXeT3kzEDpBFesBW-vrP9ua_WtGDhoFcy2Jhm6c_LLvkws826FcBbtMFJs1I2Nf1eKWT7L7aX7oSXqOREipxE3USAjllCEnpDVpOLvytkQ6ixDb8P6oXgnbt5c1glNNUZstn07LpxADg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhBfwlAnA9g8kqXw3b9orXa8AmaBRBfO45OqGmcYBU8qBNJNTjXeT3kzEDpBFesBW-vrP9ua_WtGDhoFcy2Jhm6c_LLvkws826FcBbtMFJs1I2Nf1eKWT7L7aX7oSXqOREipxE3USAjllCEnpDVpOLvytkQ6ixDb8P6oXgnbt5c1glNNUZstn07LpxADg" width="180" /></a></p><p>The shower is where the insulation is showing, and the old vanity ran the length of the wall on the right. While Mike (my niece's boyfriend / contractor) did find some water under the shower pan there doesn't seem to be any damage (whew!). He is going to start prepping for the tile tomorrow. Now I just need to decide on which tile(s) I want. I hate this part. How come I have no problem deciding on fabric for a quilt but deciding on tile/vanity/fixtures for my new bath is sooooo painful?</p><p>While Mike has been working, I've been doing some sewing.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAENT2e94g5Zx8M795hw2Yi-21GhpNq1VR1_oKSh4pAXW_6GsoGBTk2zjaqeKme6CBqwoAFgCv7TLKiu-K66XwEz0TUPyq1KQxuoCPtc2JGFakRRMmf-v14AEykORjkM1qDJnPdLsDTQk1Nb4702kXS7c7zPv0WAp4Q40df2ci6IEAYRDkJHnhoFuh7A/s4032/IMG_7936.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAENT2e94g5Zx8M795hw2Yi-21GhpNq1VR1_oKSh4pAXW_6GsoGBTk2zjaqeKme6CBqwoAFgCv7TLKiu-K66XwEz0TUPyq1KQxuoCPtc2JGFakRRMmf-v14AEykORjkM1qDJnPdLsDTQk1Nb4702kXS7c7zPv0WAp4Q40df2ci6IEAYRDkJHnhoFuh7A/s320/IMG_7936.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div><br /></div>The Project Quilting mystery is done. The first set is Chips and Dips by Canuck Quilter Designs.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_nDDRCT7RkXLb9hCP5rADNCMXj8wT95W8wO8PkFW-tmaLRKl1KWierIPbBemGfPisO8kTm6f8q1soIHOm7CDuRVQZlWsRvGfn-aJOBF6x8e9vsBAhXRMtMUcY_md1S_5ofnuz2b_B3bBhYrC34xboyjBSTcW-o0A6v9ZqnJz9fVc-FAZwihOir9nfdw/s3708/IMG_7826.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2769" data-original-width="3708" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_nDDRCT7RkXLb9hCP5rADNCMXj8wT95W8wO8PkFW-tmaLRKl1KWierIPbBemGfPisO8kTm6f8q1soIHOm7CDuRVQZlWsRvGfn-aJOBF6x8e9vsBAhXRMtMUcY_md1S_5ofnuz2b_B3bBhYrC34xboyjBSTcW-o0A6v9ZqnJz9fVc-FAZwihOir9nfdw/s320/IMG_7826.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div><br /></div>Love the pattern, hated the binding fabric, it is too busy and too dark. Unfortunately, I didn't decide this until all six were machine sewn front and back. I'll remove the binding and find something else, but it will probably be a while. It took about 1.5 hours to remove the binding on one placemat.<div><br /></div><div>My niece picked the fabrics for all three sets without know what the pattern would be. I was surprised when she selected this pastel rose group of fabrics.</div><div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7FYN3ou1IcIXrbWGD9Se-gvigMpgloHYE7WXA9K5QZ3leSKETV2Y0FYcMzST1eet2Xq7ltrRlPDtr37KT3RTRaOohXhrvOGv5VMC7agfVvSJzbPhfTNtXzQM6D1BYnwXnn-Xgmb5gNLlCFKiF9HpipHWX1lWfGdT3cyw68fRnSUYfNF4jo0hUXx51ng/s4032/IMG_7853.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7FYN3ou1IcIXrbWGD9Se-gvigMpgloHYE7WXA9K5QZ3leSKETV2Y0FYcMzST1eet2Xq7ltrRlPDtr37KT3RTRaOohXhrvOGv5VMC7agfVvSJzbPhfTNtXzQM6D1BYnwXnn-Xgmb5gNLlCFKiF9HpipHWX1lWfGdT3cyw68fRnSUYfNF4jo0hUXx51ng/s320/IMG_7853.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div><br /></div>Very girly girl fabric. Very easy to make. I made two of each color.</div><div><br /></div><div>A few months ago I showed a couple of tote bags that Donna made and gifted to me. You can see them <a href="http://joyfulquilter2.blogspot.com/2023/10/two-weeks.html" target="_blank">here</a>. I though my mom was going to steal one. Hmmm, what should I get her for Christmas. ;o) I've never made a tote bag with zippers and I really liked the foam Donna used in the bags she made me so when my local quilt shop offered a class for Quilts Illustrated's Boxy Tote I quickly signed up. I thought the class would get me started. It was an intense two day class and everyone finished their totes by the end of the second day.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiQKW_EsDyHJA4QcCD59-tccEsh1NfLqtWcRS7toql6YCl7tvIgfH-IzVkdiJ9ELkpIx-cSqfaTxC3ilDFAxRGxUPwl5sWzw5l90V_K-iHQlBMNYu-3jjYY76WQdR8N1kN_OwM7nEoEF3S0KRG_R-xX2H12mJJ32flbAnGEOeLgROvzs1tCF3haoNjQg/s4032/IMG_7870.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiQKW_EsDyHJA4QcCD59-tccEsh1NfLqtWcRS7toql6YCl7tvIgfH-IzVkdiJ9ELkpIx-cSqfaTxC3ilDFAxRGxUPwl5sWzw5l90V_K-iHQlBMNYu-3jjYY76WQdR8N1kN_OwM7nEoEF3S0KRG_R-xX2H12mJJ32flbAnGEOeLgROvzs1tCF3haoNjQg/s320/IMG_7870.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div><br /></div>Mom picked the fabric, but she didn't know what I was going to make with it.<div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirkY00p2f895Br-Xkrx5ZTo9PNFib-xAkNvoOW6k5IVAxFHpAiMQBYi6RVU15HtlrJ8tmyK0zcn7J74eph-jB0mVmWkrQvbNvA0-NvJjazBf3guN5wytYFLpu08cxz7AsW-XORk4dxj0dbdGzGj3CJGHD7dxeMvxy4uPmavhVCsTjwTnsiqr7kHTuljw/s4032/IMG_7871.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirkY00p2f895Br-Xkrx5ZTo9PNFib-xAkNvoOW6k5IVAxFHpAiMQBYi6RVU15HtlrJ8tmyK0zcn7J74eph-jB0mVmWkrQvbNvA0-NvJjazBf3guN5wytYFLpu08cxz7AsW-XORk4dxj0dbdGzGj3CJGHD7dxeMvxy4uPmavhVCsTjwTnsiqr7kHTuljw/s320/IMG_7871.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><br /><div>She loved it (whew!). And believe it or not I don't want to go shopping. ;o)<br /><p><br /></p></div>Joyful Quilterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00747157788497330280noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-810064275321434705.post-20685414748010232372023-12-04T21:56:00.000-08:002023-12-04T21:56:41.387-08:00Lots of Can't Show You Quilting Going On<p> </p><p>This is about as good as it gets...</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvpoELt_1su6fR-32jzfcpW2UKeQzFpICWE9ysBNdg6dWoZDnH3A2mzmBSQCpY-_Q4YSts-QP7wKECkyHQwbgkkbNIrVESDLBG-k1SNaRop9qhKwhXrck0lyGORmOxj7ju04Yjzm5vGJ2mbgGayUhITh0c9roVlWiUkim8BjNWwO2hWqdIE5zP01T4OA/s3337/IMG_7818.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3337" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvpoELt_1su6fR-32jzfcpW2UKeQzFpICWE9ysBNdg6dWoZDnH3A2mzmBSQCpY-_Q4YSts-QP7wKECkyHQwbgkkbNIrVESDLBG-k1SNaRop9qhKwhXrck0lyGORmOxj7ju04Yjzm5vGJ2mbgGayUhITh0c9roVlWiUkim8BjNWwO2hWqdIE5zP01T4OA/s320/IMG_7818.JPG" width="290" /></a></div><div><br /></div>You can see the backing fabric. I did. We had dinner at my niece's house. She had about 20 people there and enough food for 50. ;o) Seriously! Turkey, ham, mac & cheese, three sheet pans of roasted Brussel sprouts, two HUGE pots of mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, green beans, cranberry Jello salad, stuffing, at least 5 pies, cookies, two types of baked cheese, sliced cheese, crackers, a big bowl of jalapeno corn dip, and FIVE dozen hard boiled eggs that I made into deviled eggs. If anyone was hungry it was their own fault.</p><p>Did you do any Black Friday/Small Business/Cyber Monday shopping? I did a little bit on Friday, but nothing I can show. Mom and I did our first marathon round of Xmas shopping today. I'm so tired. The stores were busy! I thought everyone was supposed to be home doing cyber shopping!</p><p>I got a little bit of sewing done (nothing I can show) and a lot of picking up / organizing my sewing room. I put all of the projects I was working on back in their bins so I can focus on Xmas sewing. </p><p>I did get my table runner finished.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiEIE2DbG5JyyhOU0YWY973XBrqjCaAQd6bd9nxQxWbhxXnIK8GMCJP7Vc877uwwoY7p7TvWV0JhkMvipqoiXB3t6wfa0Pa5Eyv97N5gkYFOKp1bWslceY5ESILY3aypoYknS2IjEBjzmZ6XL7nOTDyXDMaMaZKm2qZhNGDJQPmjsndiMKM1sdnCX79g/s4032/IMG_7799.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiEIE2DbG5JyyhOU0YWY973XBrqjCaAQd6bd9nxQxWbhxXnIK8GMCJP7Vc877uwwoY7p7TvWV0JhkMvipqoiXB3t6wfa0Pa5Eyv97N5gkYFOKp1bWslceY5ESILY3aypoYknS2IjEBjzmZ6XL7nOTDyXDMaMaZKm2qZhNGDJQPmjsndiMKM1sdnCX79g/s320/IMG_7799.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>Actually, it's more of a counter runner. I even know how I'm going to quilt it, just no energy and too foggy of a brain.<div><br /></div><div>Then I spent two days cooking.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKv6GCnItEd91Q9O1bYH9vndHiA-Zj73DsTxThqkiU30GfMBcyF5ouz2GumpsyaKWrZdgCIfpnBBYTGQGSdYMldJbSY9VdzQdNUpFdTEc68Q407JDy38fMpyGHF9a6ZT68SO64vwUc_dfpiVlS6AUTEUUU7v5r-LSplF55_NCq1IA-I2vzFF4im5_ylA/s4032/VAYE2894.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKv6GCnItEd91Q9O1bYH9vndHiA-Zj73DsTxThqkiU30GfMBcyF5ouz2GumpsyaKWrZdgCIfpnBBYTGQGSdYMldJbSY9VdzQdNUpFdTEc68Q407JDy38fMpyGHF9a6ZT68SO64vwUc_dfpiVlS6AUTEUUU7v5r-LSplF55_NCq1IA-I2vzFF4im5_ylA/s320/VAYE2894.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><br /><div>Split pea soup with ham then navy beans with ham hocks the next day. The split pea is really good...ya don't really need a recipe, but I did use <a href="https://www.onceuponachef.com/recipes/split-pea-soup.html" target="_blank">this one</a>. I also used a significantly modified version of <a href="https://www.onceuponachef.com/recipes/smoky-white-bean-ham-soup.html" target="_blank">this recipe</a> for the beans. I haven't tried it yet, but my mom said it was good. The freezer is stocked.</div><div><br /></div><div>Friday was spent sleeping all day hoping the cold would go away quickly. Nope. Saturday was a Nyquil induced coma. I did manage to stay awake long enough to make one Project Linus block.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhG91jA9dvGMy9-N7Ub0yFsg32bRebO3Q6kK69qGA72gVIylMxynDhtymKVHVp9ZioExBEsTv9ykFMwdt1nlVlikhaMNaX4ivi760EiaawQna-z4-CCTRyCsZF4T_0qqIhfzGr_SK50Wy56rliKmu8Ov3rKkQL24_MSwXBYpfWUJDbmFY4YVzyiUKUrw/s3602/IMG_7747.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3602" data-original-width="2639" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhG91jA9dvGMy9-N7Ub0yFsg32bRebO3Q6kK69qGA72gVIylMxynDhtymKVHVp9ZioExBEsTv9ykFMwdt1nlVlikhaMNaX4ivi760EiaawQna-z4-CCTRyCsZF4T_0qqIhfzGr_SK50Wy56rliKmu8Ov3rKkQL24_MSwXBYpfWUJDbmFY4YVzyiUKUrw/s320/IMG_7747.JPG" width="234" /></a></div><div><br /></div>The "big reveal" was Saturday. As I thought, it's a cute maze. If all the maze blocks weren't already done, I'd probably try to change it up, as it is I'll keep to the pattern. I still have four blocks to make so my reveal will be later (hopefully not next year).<div><br /></div><div>My August/September/October UFO project got moved from a pile on the table to the folding design board. (the design bed is a mess, and the design table is covered with Project Linus pieces and parts).</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvTqUa9b4oJH0JVjHVMS3OF7HimBvPj0roz1GTGNwgslJCP9CURicNAqrRL5NzwEhrs6_AaOX4i7DOKj4XJiLBPclDhs7BcxVQWrKfh8jJjmzM7Ec3je1uOtUtsepP5PbQU3lw3JASzXoJaqb5c1mC4u81qjGHdsYvKPc6TKTdhh31rrz7TiI4uWVSMw/s3168/IMG_7748.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2737" data-original-width="3168" height="276" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvTqUa9b4oJH0JVjHVMS3OF7HimBvPj0roz1GTGNwgslJCP9CURicNAqrRL5NzwEhrs6_AaOX4i7DOKj4XJiLBPclDhs7BcxVQWrKfh8jJjmzM7Ec3je1uOtUtsepP5PbQU3lw3JASzXoJaqb5c1mC4u81qjGHdsYvKPc6TKTdhh31rrz7TiI4uWVSMw/s320/IMG_7748.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div><br /></div>To stay awake yesterday I worked on Aunt Daisy units. No pictures...looks almost like last week's blocks.</p><p>Made 20 more Aunt Daisy triangle-in-a-square blocks. No picture - kinda boring. Currently at 110 out of 192. Woohoo, over half done.</p><p>Made some progress on the guild wool project. No picture, mostly backstitching, also kinda boring.</p><p>Cut out one of the Xmas gifts. No pictures until after Christmas.</p><p>Might change my mind on the November UFO challenge. The number was 4 which was using the wool blocks I made years ago. I had originally planned to make three wall hangings and set aside two different months to make them. Since I did get two done earlier this year, I think I'll try to get at least one of them quilted this month as my challenge project. I need to start thinking about next year's list. Unfortunately, I have more than 12 UFO's although not all of them are mine.</p><p>So what can I show you? I quilted the baby quilt Donna gave me.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitoGEzU6BzevHWAOleudDoc3ZPEoK8MPP7tHtc4iswzC0hTzlmyo97xe_lr1icGyfWNHfOWHQAUCpuH_0RnkgEceTFyW1uQLjBdJKC4vZH_iaWFoCb_E1SGT7d2LpmF90XRWjDgcfOpGbIjspH6N7GiVVP02j3opbJLMPkNi6rsoGnuBhsZXVvvnwI_Q/s3662/IMG_7740.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3662" data-original-width="2910" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitoGEzU6BzevHWAOleudDoc3ZPEoK8MPP7tHtc4iswzC0hTzlmyo97xe_lr1icGyfWNHfOWHQAUCpuH_0RnkgEceTFyW1uQLjBdJKC4vZH_iaWFoCb_E1SGT7d2LpmF90XRWjDgcfOpGbIjspH6N7GiVVP02j3opbJLMPkNi6rsoGnuBhsZXVvvnwI_Q/s320/IMG_7740.JPG" width="254" /></a></div><div><br /></div>It is much cuter in real life. I used a new pantograph that I really like. It is called Acacia Leaves but I thought it looked like butterflies...or bows. I have a very soft flannel on the back. I'll donate it at the next Quilts for Kids meeting.<br /><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>Joyful Quilterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00747157788497330280noreply@blogger.com2
