Moving down the list

I finished piecing the butterfly quilt:

Here is what the blocks look like:

I really like the frames around each block. Are you looking at the blocks and thinking "did she piece all those little odd size bits of fabric?" No. This is the fabric:

The blocks are made from random 2.5 inch strips of Andover Fabrics Tea Ceremony Geisha collection. Now I need to figure out how I'm going to quilt it...I have some ideas.

Fred likes it.

I also got the lawn mowed today.

New Blogger - How scary!

This is my first post! What a hoot! I have been lurking around other quilting blogs for a while and decided I'd give it a try.

An introduction: I have been quilting for a little over ten years...love it. I'm single, sadly one of the unemployment statistics, and live in the perfect spot in Northern California - I am surrounded on all sides by great quilt shops. I have three cats that provide constant amusement and luckily I am easily amused.

As you can see, Fred thinks my blogging is amusing - he is also easily amused. Obba couldn't care less.

Current quilt status: Since I am unemployed I am trying very hard not to buy new fabric (Ha! Never happen.) and use the fabric I've had for years. I haven't done too bad lately. My UFO list:

Finish piecing:
Butterfly quilt
Hot Pocket
2 Xmas Ornament wall hangings

Finish quilting:
Blue Delft

Start Quilting:
Mini 4 patch
Cat Hen n' Check wall hanging
Liberty wall hanging
Strip quilt
Retro Chic quilt
Pink Roses quilt
Kats n' Kuilts quilt (this is actually too big for me to do, but it is unfinished)

I feel like I have too many projects going at once. I am not going to start anything new until all of these are done (famous last words).

I will keep you posted on my progress.
