There are a couple of projects in this book calling my name, but I think they will have to wait until next Christmas, my list is full already for this year.
I had a great time in Oregon celebrating my Mom's birthday (Happy Birthday again Mom!), and visiting with my niece Emmalisa and her daughter Brooklyn, Jayme and other friends. Plus I did a little shopping. Some quilt shopping but mostly tire shopping...I know, boring, but they were on sale and Oregon has no sales tax - what more could an unemployed girl ask for.
Since my Mom's birthday is over I can now show one of the "no peeking" items I made. Remember this:
It is the corner on the pocket of this:
A tuck away shopping bag.
Very easy to make. I made it with batiks so it is also very sturdy. (Wow! Look at all those birthday cards!).
I also have to send a BIG THANK YOU to Ben for setting up/configuring my new(used) laptop with wireless. I got to check out all my favorite blogs while I was gone.

Congratulations on your win! You must be on a lucky streak as I read this morning on Gudren's World that you've won again. How Fun!
Sounds like you had a wonderful time in Oregon. Cute bag and what a fun give-away prize.
Nice shopping bag. I love this blog thing.
Congrats on the win - the book looks most interesting. I am sure it has lots of fun projects.
