Bloggers Quilt Festival
I haven't participated in Amy's Blogger Quilt Festival in a while. I've missed everyone visiting and visiting the other participants blogs. This time I'm not missing out.
I made this quilt several years ago from a Bali Pop and my stash. The pattern was from one of my magazines but I don't remember which one and I didn't exactly follow it.
There is an embarrassingly funny story about this quilt. I used to hang my quilt flimsies in a spare closet until it was time to take to the quilters. When I was unemployed I had quite a few hanging in there. I reserved time at local shop to rent their long arm, when it was time I couldn't find the quilt. I looked in every nook and cranny in this house. I knew it had to here. I had taken it with me to quilt shop in Vacaville to show a friend and I thought maybe I had left it there. I was broken hearted. I love how the quilt turned out then to lose it was very disappointing. I told everyone my sad lost quilt story. I spent over a month trying to decide if I was going to remake it or not. In the mean time I decide to quilt one of my other quilts....can you guess what happened? Yup, right there in the closet where it was suppose to be.

Pretty quilt. I loved your funny story. I turned 50 this year and have had more moments like that in this year alone than I ever did in the 49 years before!
Happy Quilt Festival.
Very pretty, Joy! Losing things (even temporarily) seems to get more painful the larger and more precious they are. Glad you found the top quilt after all and now it is a quilt! I'm joining in Blogger's Festival again this time too.
Doesn't it make you happy just to know it was overlooked. Simple mistake.....how many times I have looked for something and hello it was right where it was supposed to be. Happens to us all..xoxox
Lol! When something goes missing like that only to turn up exactly where it was supposed to be, I blame elves. :-)
Lovely work.
I love the earthy colours of your quilt!
How close to Vacaville do you live? Cute story..though sad to have been upset up the not so lost.lost.
Lovely quilt - glad it didn't end up in "Lost Sock" land - maybe it went for a visit and came back?
the search sounds like a pretty normal day!!!! great colors
