It always amazes me how much progress I can make just spending an hour or two sewing a night in the sewing room. My Project Linus quilt top is finished. I love how it turned out and it was such a fun quilt to make. It has moved from the "partially pieced" pile to the "finished top with back" hangers.
Town Square has the binding machine and hand sewn down. YAY, it is finished!
Details: Pattern is by Angela Walters, Midnight Quilter / Craftsy. Fabrics are a Moda solids charm pack and a Kona Cotton background. Size: about 59 inches square.
I love the quilting Barbara did on it. The butterfly fabric on the back was a bargain, wish I'd gotten more of it - I really like the colors in the fabric. So happy with this finished quilt.
And another finish!! This is a quarter of the large log cabin quilt I bought at a garage sale years ago. It is now quilted (simple meander by me) and the binding all machine sewn. Size: 36 x 48. This will become a donation quilt.
I mentioned I had two leader-ender projects going. They have moved from leader-enders to partially pieced projects.
I am one of those quilter's who raids the garbage cans for other people's scraps. One of the ladies at last year's quilt retreat let me take all of her bonus triangles from her garbage and gave me more. I'm squaring them up to 1.5 inches. FYI, I think Bloc-Loc rules are WONDERFUL - expensive, but wonderful. I should I have enough half squares to make two miniatures.
The second leader-ender turned partially pieced project are tumblers made from my 2.5 inch square scrap bin. All the rows are sewn together, now I need to sew the rows together and decide how I'm going to finish it. FYI, this barely made a dent in the scrap bin. :o(
I also got the binding added to the medallion quilt. It's going to take a while to finish the hand sewing.
Not too bad...two piles are smaller, one got bigger and no new projects were started...yet. ;o)
