I always have the worst time trying to think of a title for each post. Oh well. Tempted to type in "no title".

I made progress on both Project Linus mysteries. Lucy's Love Notes flowers (how come I never see the loose threads until after I load the pictures?).

And Logey Bear's bears.

I have this week's clues cut out and ready to sew. More paper piecing for both projects.

I loaded Forest Friends onto the frame yesterday and finished quilting it today.

I quilted loops and hearts. Tomorrow I'll trim it down and attached the binding. The backing is the cutest little fox print. I'll show finished pictures next week.

Distractions

I think I figured out why it takes me so long to get things done...I'm easily distracted. In trying to make Lucy's Love Notes clue 3 I made these from the scraps of it and the last two clues.

I don't know what I'm going to do with them yet...probably mug rugs.

I did get clue 3 kinda sorta done.

The envelope is supposed to have Velcro closures and a heart patch but I haven't decided if I want to do that or put a colorful snap for the closure. I'll decide later.

My other kinda sorta distraction was getting this quilted and the binding added.

Softest flannel ever! While small (36 x 48) I can say it is made from 100% scraps. I even Frankenbatted the batting. It did take me three days to get this little quilt finished, again because of distractions...or should I say obstructions.

It is starting to cool down here and my view is starting to get some fall colors.

But mostly pine needles falling...what a mess.

I can really tell the weather is changing because now someone likes to sleep in until noon.

Makes it a little difficult to make the bed.

Skipped a Clue

I didn't think I'd be posting today. I spent most of last week getting ready for a trip which has been postponed. So not much sewing occurred until last weekend.

I got clue number two of Logey Bear finished:

Ten paper pieced trees. There are two of each.

I kinda sorta skipped clue two of Lucy's Love Notes and made clue three first.

Eight paper pieced Sunrise-Sunset blocks. I'm using Lori Holt's Prim fabrics for this quilt.

Clue two is a very detailed envelop for the "love notes". I have the blocks cut out and I'll work on them next. I was hoping I could figure out an easier way to make the envelopes but haven't been able to divine anything so I'll make them per the instructions. Since everything seems to be taking longer than I thought it would, it will probably take me all week to finish them.

Clue three for Logey Bear is three machine appliqued bears. They should be pretty fast and easy to make (famous last words).

Don't ask as I can't tell you why but I also made three pincushions.

They kinda happened by accident. I was trying to make a pincushion top for an egg cup I have but the first one was too close to the same size as the top. Then I was going to trying stuffing it into the egg cup but didn't like how it looked so I turned that into the smaller pincushion. Then I made the larger one...nope, it wasn't just right either. Oh well, I now have three cute pincushions and I put the egg cup back where I found it.

Took longer than I thought...

I knew I couldn't keep the Xmas table cloth as a leader-ender. AND it took much longer than an afternoon to make. Well it might have taken an afternoon if I didn't keep screwing it up.

How in the world did I manage to screw up such a simple pattern? I've got the binding and back made also. It is now in queue for quilting. It is getting to be a very long queue!

After buying a new printer (does anyone use HP920 ink? if so, I have ink to giveaway), I got the first clue for Lucy's Love Notes done.

And the first clue for Logey Bear.

Clue two for both quilts are very detailed, both of them are going to take awhile to finish.

I did a little bit of Halloween decorating.

Made both of these quilts ages and ages ago.

This may have been the 3rd or 4th lap size quilt I ever made.

I even free motion quilted a spider web in each block.

Do you think you will get Trick-or-Treater's this year?
