I Y Triangles

I have a few friends that will run away from a pattern with half square triangles...not me. I'm in the process of making this quilt with the charm squares Nancy gave me.

This quilt has a LOT of half square triangles. Kinda scary. But not for me. I'm using this method from Mary's blog Marin & Colusa.

How easy is this...sew four lines. Cut four times and get eight half square triangles.

Making half-square triangles is SO easy with the AccuQuilt GO cutter. It is one of the many reasons I love that...NO "dog ears" to clip after sewing, either!!! If you ever get a chance to try the cutter, use one of the dies that does half-square triangles. You'll love how simple it is! I'm sure your quilt is going to be lovely.....be sure to post it when it's done.
