I'm Back

Did you know I was gone? I went to visit my Mom in Oregon for a week. It was her birthday and we had a party.

Mom was the Birthday Princess for the day. Well maybe the upside down Birthday Princess for the day. My aunts from Idaho were there and my niece and grand-niece. It was so nice to see everyone.

The trip was great, no bad weather, and a wonderful visit with my Mom and family.

I had a request to show the whole yellow brick quilt, so here it is...you can see my pieced corners a little bit better in this picture.

I had a few blocks left over so last night I made up some table toppers.

Notice the border fabric on the table toppers...it was suppose to be the binding on the yellow brick quilt. This is the second time this year I've used fabric that was targeted for something else. Now I don't have enough of it for the binding. Jeez, I can't believe I did it again. I do have a "second best" fabric that will work.

Love it! Really nice work and I love the blocks in the border. Hope the binding 'issue' works out. I hate running out of fabric too but something else may work out just as well.
And yeah...I missed ya :-)

That's a hoot that your mom consented to dress up AND have a photo taken! Happy Birthday to her :)

The yellow quilt looks really great, and so do the table toppers! I HAVE to put pattern, project and notes all together or definitely things get pinched to be used somewhere else. I just love those hinged snap top boxes for projects.
