And Another Done

My first finish for 2013 (depending on your definition of "finish", it's not quilted yet).

My piecing was pretty good (all the triangles have points) until I put the four quadrants together. I'm going to quilt it by stitching-in-the-ditch.

I did the math...1764 triangles, 840 1.5 inch squares. It started with a charm pack given to me by Nancy and it includes lots of my scraps. I followed Bonnie (Quiltville) Hunter's advise - ugly fabric looks good when it is cut small enough and there are some truly ugly fabrics in this quilt...but I bet you can't find them.

I love scrap quilts!

Great finish!! I'm a friend of Bonnie's and see many of her quilts. Have you? She seriously uses some ugly stuff but you only see the color when you look at her quilts. It works.

Wow! This is wonderful! It looks amazing. How big is it? SID might kill ya on your big machine :-/ I can see why you wouldn't want a quilting pattern to overwhelm this though. It is too cool the way it is!

Spectacular! I've been quilting in the ditch some lately. I think some projects really call for it. I'm sure this will look wonderful no matter how you quilt it :-)

Great job, Joy! Getting all those points to stay in the right place is definitely a feat. It looks really wonderful.

I love your scrappy triangle quilt. That had to take a long time to piece!
