Bad in a good way

Nancy belongs to one of the local quilt guilds, her guild had a flea market last night along with their regular guild meeting. Guild members could rent a table for a small fee then sell whatever they wanted. Guests (me) were invited to attend.

There were some great deals! I bought over 10 yards of fabric and two books for an embarrassingly small sum. No guilt at all for buying fabric.

And the floral stripe...it matches a kit I have, there is enough there to make a back for the quilt...lots of motivation to get the kit made.

I was tempted to buy a lot more, but there is a point where a good deal becomes bad.

Good for you, lots of fun goodies there, Joy! I know it is hard to resist a bargain but groaning cupboards and closets are a signal, I think, at my house. Sometimes I wish I didn't loathe having garage sales!

Looks like you got a great haul! And cheap is always good. Lately I have been buying up every clearance bolt I think will make a good back for a quilt someday. I really need to stop and actually finish some tops!

Who's to say when good turns bad? It's all in the eyes of the buyer! What fun!

It is a shame that when our guild has "in house" flea markets the items aren't near as nice! You sure got some deals. I too have some of that black stripe floral...not likely to ever use it...until I see your project! Hee

Our guild had a similar sale in May. It was a lot of fun! Looks like you found some really great deals!
