Leaders and Enders

To start, Brenda at Pumpkin Patch Primitives is having a fantastic giveaway. A Fat Quarter Bundle of Red Rooster's Pumpkins & Spice Fabrics by Whimsicals. She has a great online quilt store, so check it out.

Do you follow Bonnie Hunter's leader and ender philosophy? I do, I have baggies and baggies full of half square triangles. I haven't squared any of them up yet, and I don't know what I'm going to do with them yet. But I did see a quilt at PIQS that gave me some inspiration.

This quilt was HUGE. I had to laugh at the quilt name "Oh Holy Nightmare!"

If you can't read the notice, it said: "Based on an antique quilt, this quilt has nearly 11,000 pieces. I worked without a final goal in mind, and enjoyed the process knowing I could stop when I wanted to. This inspired me to keep going for longer than I had otherwise might have!"

11,000 pieces! It was a beautiful and fun quilt but I'm thinking it may be more perspiration than inspiration.

She got the name right! Wowzers...also nearly insane but I think that is the Dear Jane...so she couldn't use it. LOL

OH, my goodness, that is some quilt but a great idea. I do try to do the leaders and enders. Bonnie actually came to our guild.

11,000 pieces! I wouldn't even want to count the across and down number...I would probably lose count and have to count again and again.
